Sweet and sour egg tofu
酸甜豆腐
Ingredients:
2 tubes of egg tofu, sliced
Half tablespoon soy sauce
Half tablespoon dark soy sauce
1 teaspoon black vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon water
Half teaspoon corn starch
3 tablespoons of flour
Canola oil, enough to cover base of wok
Steps:
1. Heat up oil in wok.
2. Coat egg tofu in flour and put into wok to fry.
3. Once it turns slight brown, flip each of them over to fry the other side.
4. When both sides are brown, scoop out all the egg tofu and place them on a plate.
5. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, dark soy sauce, black vinegar, sugar, water and corn starch.
6. Heat the mixture in a separate pan on low heat till it thickens.
7. Pour thickened gravy onto the plate of egg tofu and serve hot.
